ThreadHarbor is independent software operated under the ThreadHarbor brand by Luo Qinkai. We keep conversation backups on your computer. We do not collect or upload your ChatGPT conversation content to our servers.
Your conversations stay local
The extension reads ChatGPT conversations you open, including titles and content, to make and maintain local backup files. It stores backup history, pending saves, settings and trial progress in your browser. It may request the full conversation from ChatGPT using your existing signed-in session. ChatGPT authentication information is not sent to ThreadHarbor's licensing service.
Pro activation and payment
When you activate Pro, the licensing service receives the License key and a random installation identifier. The extension then retains a signed receipt and that installation's device credential; it does not keep the master License key. Periodic checks confirm authorization. The server stores transaction references, license status, activation timestamps, installation identifiers and credential hashes. These records enforce the device limit, prevent duplicate fulfillment and handle refunds.
For manually fulfilled purchases, we receive the email address and payment reference you provide to confirm payment and deliver your License key. The official payment provider you use processes payment details under its own privacy policy. Card numbers never enter the extension. Cloudflare hosts the licensing service and OpenAI hosts this website; hosting providers necessarily process connection data such as IP addresses for delivery and security. The service uses short-lived hashed rate-limit records, cleared after expiry. We do not add advertising trackers, sell conversation data, or use it for model training.
Control and retention
You can pause automatic protection, deactivate the current device, or uninstall the extension. Existing backup files remain on your disk until you delete them yourself. License and transaction records are retained while needed to fulfill a lifetime purchase, handle refunds and meet legal recordkeeping requirements. Trial expiry and Pro revocation never delete your saved conversations.
